CLAIMING SPACE

A space for LGBTQ folds & allies to share
conversation, creativity & cake.

Each month, we come together around a big table to share our stories and discuss the monthly topic as a community (with cake!).

Everyone gets about 5 minutes to share whatever they’d like.

As we listen, we also create, using art supplies like crayons, colored pencils, paint, clay, and more.

This Month’s Discussion Topic:

JOY

How do we claim joy in the midst of these heavy days? How do we create spaces for our grief to coexist with a sense of joy or delight? Who or what is keeping you connected to a sense of possibility and love?

Sunday, February 16th, 4-6pm
St. James Episcopal Church (Kitchen Space)
612 Davis Street, Taylor, TX

This program is for folks 18 years and older

Co-hosted by Taylor Pride and St. James Episcopal Church (with a grant from the Spirituality Mind Body Institute, Columbia University), CLAIMING SPACE is a series of gatherings that will use creativity and conversation to explore the hurt and hope of our spiritual journeys, particularly for folks in the LGBTQIA community.
